Worcester Commandery
Famed as the Royalist HQ for the last battle of the English civil war, Worcester Commandery has hosted an ecclectic set of residents since the 12th century - including monks, a renowned Tudor family and a Victorian school for blind boys. With the help of the client team and a local re-enactment group Cosmic Carrot transformed the Commandery's Great Hall into a film studio for the day and brought these characters to life for the exhibition's introductory film. The film has no narration but is visually striking, projected directly onto the fabric of the Grade 1 listed building to create a ghostly and atmospheric experience to the start of the visitors’ journey. We also produced a series of soundscapes and dramatic parliamentary debates which can be heard throughout the site. Client: Worcestershire County Council Exhibition Design: GuM
