Cosmic Carrot worked with a small team of interpretation professionals to develop this HLF funded community project which explored the rise and demise of the UK’s largest Transit Van manufacturing plant in Southampton. The project culminated in a pop-up museum and included a shipping container 'cinema' which housed our emotive documentary crafted from purpose-recorded oral histories with former workers, personal photographs and imagery from the Ford archive. Other short films included a humourous round-up of Transit Van marketing across 40 years and a study of robots on the production line.
The museum attracted over 2,000 visitors in just three days and has since toured throughout Hampshire.
